I think the article is saying that the last name "Joyce" is the anglicized version of Irish name "Seoighe". Could someone with more knowledge explain in what way this is true? Is it a phonetic translation? Are they pronounced the same? Are they equivalent in some deeper way? Or have I totally misunderstood this section?
