"Programmers" who work for non-tech Fortune 1000 companies probably won't see any reduction in pay, particularly if they've been with their employer for more than a few years. The 26 year olds who work for FAANG and adjacent big tech who have job hopped every year to get their "TC or GTFO" cred on Blind are about to see their dreams end in tears. Big tech comp packages from around 2017 on became completely untethered from historical reality.
