The account with the weak password was a former employee. It’s not on her/him that the account remained active and the admin password wasn't changed in the same process.

A least privilege access redesign seems reasonable too. And abuse monitoring; the leak went on for 21 days undetected.

I’m less shocked than I should be. National ID registries can be incredibly convenient, but when something goes wrong, it can go terribly wrong. Despite my general misgivings, I hope the IT company is visibly held accountable.

The Slavery Abolition Act was passed in 1833; the government got deep into debt to reimburse the owners for their former slaves. That is not the whole story, of course, but the abolition of slavery before Victoria's reign was one of the brighter spots of British history.

Middle of the road, comparable to Sunflower oil. But they want to utilize waste products and a low energy conversion process.

My gut feeling says to not trust this analysis (off by at least a magnitude). Care to share a link so I can be certain?

It should. With good speed even on a 12th gen Intel. But more importantly, what's your use case?

These claims by WH site are at least debatable/unsubstanciated:

- "The virus possesses a biological characteristic that is not found in nature." Furin cleavage sites are common in other types of coronaviruses (like MERS).

- "Data shows all cases stem from a single introduction into humans." The collected samples suggest there were at least two separate spillover events (Lineage A and Lineage B) at the Huanan Market.

- "If there was evidence of a natural origin it would have already surfaced." For many viruses we have never found the exact animal/human jump variant or the in-between carriers.

So, does this mean faster rendering in notebooks, better debugging, fewer NVIDIA troubles?

As said before, the physics for chemistry is 100 years old (Schrödinger/Dirac), but the N-body Hamiltonian is an exponential beast. Scaling to just 1mg (~10¹⁹ particles) hits the "Exponential Wall."
