I'm just finishing up the probate process for one of my parents and I'm convinced the banks do everything they can to sabotage the process so they can hang on to that money as long as possible. Taking forever to respond, lengthy round trips that could be avoided with an email, unnecessary serial processes, paperwork with account numbers mysteriously off by one digit, etc

I can't wait for the false-flag, lone hacker in their mother's basement event....only they weren't alone. It was a conspiracy, Qwen was there too.

Same here, and I don't need to hear all kinds of complaining like it's some sort of AI version of a Monty Python skit:

Wife: Have you got anything without slop?

Waitress: Well, there's slop egg sausage and slop, that's not got much slop in it.

Wife: I don't want ANY slop!

Man: Why can't she have egg bacon slop and sausage?

Wife: THAT'S got slop in it!

Man: Hasn't got as much slop in it as slop egg sausage and slop, has it?

Absolutely this. The same thing is, and will continue, to take happen in the work place. This is the real threat of AI. Not that it's going to take your job, that it's going to redefine what is used to measure your value.

Maybe everyone has it backwards. They shouldn't be mad at everyone pumping out AI shit. They should be mad at all the crappy stuff we were forced to endure that was no better than AI shit. The only difference is the crap doesn't cost anything anymore.

The emperor has no clothes.

Looks like it was misattributed as CC BY 4.0 but it should be CC BY-SA 2.1 Japan

You don't need to call it amateurish. It's free.

Here's a crazy idea. What if we are looking for AGI in the wrong place? We built a global internet. If we do achieve AGI maybe it will be a globally distributed one. If it did would we even know what to look for?

This is just awful. I can't even contemplate a more nuanced rebuttal because I don't want to engage with it. I feel more sorry for children today because of articles like this are being written about them.

SEM_EXTRACT, SEM_MATCH, WEB_SEARCH are pretty vague functions. Makes me wonder why you'd bother with the SQL part at that point and not just ask the question.

I worried about this myself. 50% higher limits were nice but the flip side is you get used to it and then it just feels like they're taking 50% away. I'm not sure it's going to have the effect that Anthropic was expecting....or maybe that was the point. Who knows. I can see both perspectives.

I have and the suggestion was received positively. Thanks for the suggestion to do that. DuckDB rocks!
