I was a house guest when one definitely decided it was time to throw itself to its doom. Incredible sound.

That's OK if it's just to save itself from dying in the event of a fall down the stairs. Should be infrequent!

Can this be scaled down to a Roomba? Then it would both be more useful at picking stuff up off the floor, and able to recover from falling down the stairs.

I did exactly the same thing for a different brand of DIP-switch-addressable remote-control fan back in 2016. It's been wonderful.

It wasn't that hard; I used gnuradio with an SDR to see what the remotes were sending and just pressed buttons and flipped switches until I figured out what all the bits were. There was no encryption whatsoever.

Yes, though the fidelity offered by faithful CAD would be both easier to interpret correctly and might even hint at the CAD feature tree.

Kudos to them for releasing models useful for integration.

I do that. My slide decks these days are hand scribbled.

This sounds great. I would've loved to have set my phone to charge up to only 60% or 80% of its design capacity to reduce wear. I do this on my laptop.

I bet you'd see natural market driven concentration around rail stations in Texas too, if they had a useful rail network.
