So it's "permissionless" in the regulatory sense? No pesky SEC breathing down their necks?

I thought about this for a few minutes, and I think it might refer to how you need to go through an app store for iOS and Android apps, and that Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc, own so much of the web "property".

Can you talk about what permissionless innovation means and why it's possible with web3 (and why it's missing from the non web3 world)?

I'm a massive skeptic and I'd like to understand their perspective. Totally agree on all the downsides.

Pretty fun!

I think some game mechanics could be adjusted though - most games I've played ended up with no-one guessing the word, and the winner being the person who made the fewest guesses.

Sync makes sense. Otherwise if I switch between mobile and desktop I might lose my streak!

Agreed. I recommend Roku TVs - at least the UX is simple and it doesn't spy on you or show you ads.

This is exactly how I used to order:

- "hello" - "medium cheese pizza for delivery" - "1 main st?" (they have caller id) - "yes" - "should be there in 20 mins" (it was)

Further ideas for activities:

- activism: go canvas for a politician you like

- charity work: lots of people down at the soup kitchen, the local thrift shop, etc

This is extremely common. In their 30s, people get married, have kids, and move to the suburbs. Finding and keeping friends in your 30s is quite a challenge.

Some tips:

- move to a city - things are much much easier in a city as people are more transient, groups aren't as established, and new people arrive all the time

- it sounds like you have some friends - ask them if they have any friends in your area you should meet platonically

- the easiest way to make friends is an activity: you mentioned a hobby, but it can be anything - a running group, the gym, board games, etc. The more non-nerdy, the more likely you are to find non-nerdy people

- if you're like me, you struggle to make friends because it's not "easy" like it was in college. Friends in your 30s take work: reaching out, texting, scheduling, planning, etc.

- it sounds like you're not in therapy. So let me be the first to tell you that you're depressed (that "apathy" you're feeling is depression). Which is fine, it happens us all. But go to therapy because that's how you solve that. Just try it for a month, no pressure.

I have friends who have made millions from crypto. But every dollar they made is a dollar that someone else paid into the system, that that person is going to lose when the bubble bursts. Enabling that loss is not morally clean.

I didn't really understand what specifically fuel was here - could anyone help me out?

Of course you can reverse a string with a flag emoji. You just need to treat a "string" as a collected of Extended Grapheme Clusters, and then you reverse the order of the EGCs. So if the string is `a<flag unicode bytes>b`, the output should be `b<flag unicode bytes>a`.
