Summer vacation, orgs choose what tech you use, but when you can choose yourself it's easier to find answers from the community

It's like taking a plane and adding 6 hours to the commute. But flying is more fun, at least in the short run. If you need to do it for years you would use more simple and stable tools.

I think when people get tired of AI generated invitations they'll go back to this.

Did irrelevant keywords ever work for the spammer? You could add "naked" as a keyword because it had a lot of searches compared to "compiler". Now what happened to those looking for naked cats when they got to your website about code compilation. It's not like they would stop and think "oohh I'll look at this instead"

Watching that dude is like watching a child doing science and then using AI to explain the result. If he makes someone curious enough to do experiments on their own it's still a win though.

When I was a kid you would get yelled at or even outright banned from using a computer if they found out you where programming. I printed out programming code and read it at home like if it where magical runes.

They are probably using Actual Indians. If it takes 25 minutes you can just type the code yourself.

Any book recommendations, that is not satire, about navigating the political landscape?

Spotify had a good app when it came out, p2p and UDP custom networking...

That CD collection will be worth a fortune because I assume half of it can't even be found on the streaming services.

Before Google maps, map services used to be super expensive. You can't compete with free beer. You would need to disrupt Googles main business first in order to even out the playing field.

When I was a child I trained Athletics. In a training session the older kids pranked us or whatever, they measured our long jump and everyone jumped crazy lenghts. We could not believe it! I jumped one meter over my personal best. But they assured us, it was correct. As a naive and autistic kid I didn't question it, it's now as an adult I think back and analyze (i have good memory) it must have been the case... Anyway two days later there was a meet and I first jumped my ordinary length, but I now believed I could jump longer, I just needed to use more force, so I did, a bit longer, added even more force and speed, until I got the same result as the training session two days prior.
