did you build games before the advent of llms?
Comment · 19 days ago
I've always wanted to get into game dev but never did for lack of time or sustained interest. I tried to slop together some ideas and mechanics that I've been toying around with in my head for years now. And llms have no concept for the nuance that goes into actual enjoyable mechanics. Maybe it's just me, because I never put the time in myself so I can't get the results out that I want.

I hate code reviews, but I owe it to my coworkers that I
know
will read my PRs to review my own generated slop line by line. Most of these agents are still overly verbose and I'm in a situation where no, not every single edge case is relevant enough to warrant the additional loc or complexity introduced.

I hope you have them interacting with customers from behind an mcp.

It may sadden you to find that the majority of the population can go days, even weeks without ever seriously "reasoning" about anything major.

The vast majority of the rest of the world simply doesn't use car seats at all. Even here in the US, in my very multinational city, I only see one demographic that consistently uses car seats at all, regardless of economic status.

There is a huge problem in at least family law where a tactic is to simply ddos your opponent with motions and frivolous complaints until someone runs out of money and settles. I'm watching someone finally successfully defend themselves using a Harvey like tool they built themselves. An appellate attorney they consulted with recently, told them they had
never
seen anyone going pro se get as far as they had in appellate court. So I'm hoping that this serves as a return to making the legal system more accessible, and not just something used to railroad people.

They are using gas because it's more reliable during peak usage. Wind generation in Texas isn't optimal throughout the entire state and conditions aren't optimal
all
the time. They still use wind, but from a pure numbers perspective, gas infra already exists, the gas is there, and gas is more reliable, so wind isn't always the cheapest form of energy. There are also diminishing returns on just adding more wind turbines.

I've been able get better or equivalent results than most non-japanese ramen places near me by starting with miso paste and fresh noodles from the local h-mart, without the massive amount of work that typically goes into ramen.

I'm surprised that there are so many still think that this is really about protecting kids. This is not an organic movement at all.

Full auto handguns are quite popular now despite being effectively illegal.
