Europeans care less about work and GDP, and more about living life. It should speak volumes that the historically industrious Germany is even more laid back than the US.

I legit want to know where all these highly cognitive superior women are because I have not met a single one of them.

‘Trading’

Everyone involved in this, locked in a cell, forever.

The final nail. I was an avid Redditor for the first few years but dropped off when the hive mind started taking over. Today, I just read some movie and music/feedback on there. Nothing worth making an account for.

Reminds me of one of the internet earliest and finest rumors about Marilyn Manson: that he had a rib removed so he could fellate himself. He never denied it. He DID deny being the kid from the Wonder Years, though.

Elon's tech has been used to kill Russians and drone bomb Russian locations. Why kiss his ass?

I live in a very strict zero tolerance area, where drunk driving is dealt with harshly. No one seems to give a shit. Plenty of cars pulling away from bars at all times of day. I legit have to drive super carefully at night in case some jackass causes an accident. Half the drivers don’t use turn signals. Most people speed. Any time I see a white pickup I know to expect the worst driving known to man.

Maybe in the near future, vehicles will limit speed to what is posted, and detect intoxicated drivers and either shut down the vehicle or alert the cops. Switching lanes without using the turn signal makes your vehicle pull to the side and shut down while you’re forced to do drivers training like an asshole. I hate that this is needed but the roads are getting more dangerous.

If you’re a redneck asshole who likes to drive drunk, you’ll have a lot of walking in your future after you get out of prison.

In a note with the files, the hackers wrote, “They have our information, so it's only fair that we have theirs.”

I mean, they’re not wrong…

What the hell is the story behind this? $2500 a month for the HOA when it used to be $150? This won’t end well for the board or the developer. You mess with someone’s home then you get a nice in-person visit.

‘The sudden cost spike exposes the fragility of building businesses on subsidized API access. If your margins depend on cheap tokens, you are entirely at the mercy of the labs.’

I’m just here for the fallout. The businesses who jettisoned their talent in favor of cheap AI garbage. The ones who have seen obvious degradation in work quality and stability, but who have tried to ignore or hide it. They now have to face down CFO’s and executive management who see zero returns on the current spend and are being asked to approve extreme budget increases.

A 230% increase isn’t even a big jump. Try 1000%. That may not even be enough to cover the costs and turn a profit for AI companies.
