> Get a PC and do whatever you want on it.

the PS5 at its launch price was best game PC price/performance, with super fast storage, keyboard and mouse support and more

but the keyboard & mouse support is locked by DEVs and only a handful titles support it. a very limited 3rd party app store it could have been the steam box on steriods, alas not so.

at end of the day, buying a PS5 allows you to do with your hardware what you want, be it play games on your console or create a super computer cluster with your PS3 consoles running linux.

they did not end where they started, not even close, so it's not the ideal path, cause now you still need to walk the mower to the shed. and that's why some people are more efficient than others.

their ideal path leaves you at the other side of the yard.

> employment earns 7 sick days

ugh, "sick days", what an absurd concept. If you are too unwell to work, you don't go to work , of course, and get paid while at home, until you're healed. Not 7 days, not 2 days, just the amount of days required. putting a number on that. ugh

and 11 vacation days. Wauw. After a decades of working in Europe you can get a good amount of holidays. in 2025 I had 49 day of which 20 are that minimum you start out with. Every overtime and outside business hour call also gets recovered, that's an extra 3 days so we've passed 50.

but what else is new, in the 80 and 90s workers in US were boasting about doing 80hrs of work each week... like wtf :). They live to work, I prefer to work to live life.

>But this system is probably tied to Google and Apple's "device attestation."

any banking app for the last 20 years has basically been available only on google and apple devices, (none jailbroken, none rooted) to do proper attestation. So how this different...

I would say Antrophic and others illicitly extracted free internet content and put it behind a paywall, giving zero compensation to those that made their whole business possible in the first place. So smallest violin player busy here trying to make me care if it happens to them.

>I never got past the first level of Wolfenstein back in the day

Wolfenstein FOV was way too low, something like <70, which caused that feeling sick, try to get games where you can set you FOV to 85+ and it made a world of difference. motion sickness =gone

I find that Deepseek Pro to be below Sonnet 4.6 for much of the coding/review/executing tasks from plan. The only good thing it has going is the price. It will is cheaper for it to crunch through your well worked out implementation plans, it's slower, makes more errors, needs more tokens to fix those. And even at that increased spent it does deliver in the end. More tokens, lower cost, slower.

I use it as something that sits right below Sonnet for daily tasks that can be run in loops with validation checks, perfect. Anything more advanced...it just doesn't cut it.

Same experience with z-ai glm 5.1 btw... don't know what system prompt magic antrophic set in front of their Sonnet 4.6, but it does execute tasks efficiently.

claiming any of these deepseek models are close to opus is a bit optimistic
