Yes it does. It's the "51.2V Vertical Battery Pack" with the 314 Ah EVE cells. I have two of them connected in parallel, communicating with my Sol-Ark 18k inverter via a standard Pylontech protocol for closed-loop communication. Maybe I confused you by describing it as a "wall mount"? The vertical batteries are very often wall mounted. I should have just said "vertical" instead. Anyway, they have been fantastic batteries. Two in parallel can discharge roughly 19kW of power continuously, which is more than enough to power all of the big loads in my home at the same time. The only downside of the batteries is you have to configure the JK BMS yourself. But there's a lot of community resources for that:

Many of them are not constructed for repair and have a lot of integrated components. It's an era of disposable cars so to speak.

With some notable exceptions, I would argue that most of the time, the caller simply doesn't care. Maybe the "right" approach is to provide two functions, one that takes an allocator, and one that does not. That way the caller doesn't have to care unless it wants to.

I have two Yixiang power 16kwh wallmount batteries ($2200 each). The 32kwh battery is $3699. They work remarkably well and have EVE LFP cells and a JK bms. They are not UL listed, so keep that in mind. My system uses a more expensive SolArk 18k inverter, and these two batteries easily power my whole house through the night, even this time of year. It's not enough to be off grid 100% of the time, but where I live, it's probably close to 80% of the time.

You can get a 32kwh battery for about $3500. 12kw in solar panels is about $2500. And an inverter is a couple thousand. Throw in since mounting equipment and wiring, and a big system that can power a 4000 sqft home can be had for around $10k. If you want it truly off grid, you'll want a bigger battery and more panels to make it through consecutive cloudy days.

Unfortunately for me, yes. Some companies are very risk adverse and would rather stick with the devil they know. They have no idea what they are sacrificing.

That's why I installed my 13kw system myself. I saved a ton of money, assuming you don't equate time with money, otherwise it will have cost me a fortune. It was a great learning experience, and quite fun.

It wasn't $400k in real money.

I'm not super concerned about green energy, but i put solar panels on my roof and charge an ev because it's incredibly practical and a much better experience than the status quo.

The aesthetic has nothing to do with it being an EV. They just designed it to be ugly.

Neglecting a cabin air filter isn't going to make your EV fall apart. You can neglect that on an ICE too. Imagine how much worse these people would have it with an ICE vehicle - neglecting oil changes, oil filter, brake fluid, radiator coolant, air intake filter, spark plugs, valve cover gasket, power steering fluid, putting the wrong gas in, topping off with the wrong oil, etc...

Racket also added contracts around the same time that D did.

I think this is awesome! LAN parties were so much fun back in the day. And the social aspect is what I miss the most (and my youthful energy to stay up all night).

I use emacs daily (with vim keybindings of course), but I completely understand why vscode is so popular. It's extremely easy to get started with, has features galore, and sane defaults. Emacs takes much more effort to get productive with, although this is improving with each release.
