I've read it, it was nice and doesn't really promote Chrome or Google.

I am a broadly skilled generalist senior developer, with focus on data engineering and science. I worked in life sciences, AI, and healthcare - last two engagements were for a seed genomics unit of a big agritech company. Looking for ambitious work!

Still working on Falling Fruit in my spare time! I've packaged the PWA into a mobile app using Capacitor, seems to work well on Android, would be great if someone helped me with iOS (mostly permissions for things) as I have no devices for it.

I am a broadly skilled generalist senior developer. Some specialised roles I had in the past included data engineering and MLOps for a healthcare AI start-up, development of bioinformatics software, and building open data resources. Currently contracting as a bioinformatics software developer for a seed genomics unit of an agritech company, but missing start-ups and again wanting to build something bigger. Let me know if you're hiring!

Friends who go to therapy don't seem to finish their sessions relaxed, it's usually more of a shaken up state, whereas that ego pampering style of interaction you describe would surely not have that effect?

I a broadly skilled generalist senior developer - specialised roles I did in the past included data engineering / MLOps for a healthcare AI start-up and bioinformatics ops and research.

Bio summary: After a graduating with a maths degree in 2014 and an early career role in finance, I found my path to data engineering in bioinformatics in 2016, initially as a full stack developer in a research institute and then taking on increasingly data focused work. I worked in life sciences for many years, until in 2023 I joined a healthcare startup, which for an exciting year and a half was a great opportunity to experiment with 'modern practice' like Databricks and integrating LLMs. Looking for new opportunities to engage in meaningful work.

From my bioinformatics and data engineer experience, I'm good at interfacing with researchers and turning ideas and prototypes into working products: developing data flow workflows, evaluating performance of models, providing interfaces and entry points for clients, and more.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of contributing to significant projects in academic, commercial, and non-profit settings. If my profile or any of the technologies listed resonate with you, feel free to reach out via email!

That line of thinking doesn't get us towards no gum on the floor, and surely in our collective capacity we can do something about it?

Still working on Falling Fruit beta site! Just finished a big project to migrate the existing 10 languages with AI, I based it on the existing verbiage but looking for native speakers to check them, especially Vietnamese, Greek, Hebrew, and Arabic.

Constantly reminding someone of your authority surely leads to resentment over time. Is it not basically a recipe for your kids systematically removing you from their life as they grow?

You could try aider, or another tool/workflow where you provide whole files and ask for how they should be changed - very different from code completion type tools!
