Ubuntu Server VM on X86. I set it up once, logged in with claude code cli (/remote), and the rest of the build chain is CLI (gradle, adb, etc)

I went from an early adopter of AI tools, building my own tools, setting up a crazy openClaw rig, back to just the default coding apps.

For work use Claude code on desktop. Mostly using sonnet, sometimes opus.

Personal development has gotten pretty interesting, mostly centered around my Android phone. I just have the $20 claude plan. Claude code is running on a build machine VM. I use my phone Claude app to remotely build android apps. I then have the machine install the apps over the network onto my phone. The VM also has full adb access, and sometimes I go into desktop mode from my phone if I need to get into the terminal a bit more. It's been pretty fun to vibe code android apps on the fly!

(I tried to get claude code installed locally on my phone but I'm missing some android build tools in the terminal without rooting my phone)

This is the classic client vs designer disparity.

Here, client makes it with AI vs designer making it with AI.

The client doesn't really know what they want, or how to ask it properly. The designer is the one with taste, and the client pays for that.

Designers find flaws in the AI outputs, because their taste is high and prefer to just make it themselves.

(Not even touching on the hornet's nest of ethics of how these models are trained)

It's not exactly correct. Photography is just as much an art, but it's a very different medium and pieces are judged differently.

Realism isn't difficult, so critique shifts towards composition, narrative, context, process, and emotional impact.

Taking a clear photograph is easy with modern equipment, which means the bar for what's considered "good" is high.

I bought one from a machine easily at a train station. It spits the card out for you.

Once I downloaded it, it made sense. The blog post almost made me cancel my subscription because it seemed to get rid of the IDE entirely.

I just use open claw as a local memory management system. Not sure from TFA what's new here.

Actually their payment model has some baked in niceness.

If you don't use the service in a month, they just refund you. This has kept me from unsubscribing for years now. Some months I use it, some I don't.

It's more of hassle to unsub, and re-sub again when I want.

I initially misread that as "Routine incident"

They could be priming users for a transparent interface, like a transparent iPhone. Or glasses.
