Still hacking on https://riffradar.org/ and trying to make better recommendations on Spotify. Lately I've been experimenting with a couple of different recommendation algorithms, and will expose them soon as selection options for the different playlists. Signups have picked up somewhat recently and have ~800 MAU, which helps with trying out different things :)

Thanks for the heads up, I'll give it a try on the tv!

Absolutely, I never said it's not :) I'm just not a fan of the Discord distribution channel - but the reply above you said it's on AppleTV, and I might try that!

Looks good...but having to join Discord to try it is one step too many, if I have to be honest.

Yeaah, second that! I use it on the AppleTV and across the rest of my devices! Works like a charm, and coupled with Tailscale I can access everything on my Nas everywhere :) I have it configured to use Jellyfin as the source, runing on said nas

I used to use it (better mouse) before BTT added Logitech support - but wasn't really happy with it. Every single update changed something, mostly my cursor speed in some small, but sufficiently noticeable way and I had to adjust it every time, which was super annoying.

At some point my settings kept getting lost every time my mac went to sleep, and I had to restart the app all the time. I messaged the developer, but never received any response or acknowledgement and I just dropped it. It's a pity, because I did like it for a period of time while I was initially using it.

The one thing I use the most, and how I found it in the first place is that it allows me to combine key presses with mouse gestures/movements. In particular it allows me to move/resize the windows under the cursor just by pressing a key combination and moving my mouse. Many many years ago I used to use AutoHotkey on Windows for this functionality and was missing it when I switched to Mac.

Another thing I've configured is scrolling through a key press and dragging the mouse. Or opening a floating menu by using the thumb button on my MX Master3.

And that's only mouse functions, I have a bunch of other shortcuts/remappings/automations, many of which run only for specific apps.

Have a look in the forum - it's a gold mine and a lot of people have shared their presets.

Get an LLM to generate a preset for what you want - it's ultimately driven by a json config. There are quite a few presets in the forum as well for various functions

Been working on https://riffradar.org/ - better Spotify recommendations through playlists that update daily.

You start with selecting genres you're interested in and can see exactly which bands match your selection from your library (or globally). You can also tweak the playlists in a number of ways through advanced filters like excluding tracks you've played recently, release dates, collaborations, different sort methods.

Recently I added a new feature - select a few (or one) playlists and create a "mirror", with tracks belonging to the artists of your selected playlists.

Also there are a few other playlist modes I'm working on that will allow you to make more interesting selections.

Similar, but not as polished, also exists in VSCode and derivatives, named the same way. Definitely saved me a few times as well.

It is indeed supported only for some languages - you can check the link for which ones. And it's not only about recognising multiple languages, but actual functionality that it's missing. It doesn't have a Bulgarian dictionary and support for swipe in BG, which is what I need...

Pretty much what `cloogshicer` said.

I am interested in something that has support for multiple languages + swipe support.

That's neat! Would love to try it, but am also on iOS :/

With the risk of sounding like a broken record - what are people using on iOS? I've been using `SwiftKey` for a while as it has dictionaries for languages that the native keyboard doesn't have. But I would love to switch to something else, as M$ has been shoving AI features on it that I am definitely not interested in.

So far in this thread I've seen Grammarly and Nintype. The former seems to suffer from the same things as SwiftKey, while the latter doesn't look it's maintained (last update 7y ago). I don't mind a paid app, as long as it doesn't invade my privacy.
