The incentive will always be there for games that build an organic community. Good examples are a lot of Valve games.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the rise of e-sports and the monetary aspect of "professional" multi-player games?

What a weird and ridiculous thing to do... Its similiar to someone taking way too much interest in dismembering NPCs in a video game.

OTOH, I am a little worried that some people think these models have some kind of hidden consciousness or thought. In this specific case, I'm pretty confident Qwen 3 1.7B and 4B don't contain anything close to relatable definitions of consciousness. These models are not experiencing actual "torture".

Interesting trend of labeling models after how big they are on disk vs how many learnable parameters they have.

Im on the verge of switching from PHEV to full EV. I just need a reasonably affordable EV with 450+ mile of range.

He's referencing the common conservative notion that "too much" empathy for certain groups (in this case animals) is at the detriment to ourselves... somehow. This, of course, makes no sense when you look back at the long historical strides taken with animal rights in just western societies. You'll find very old philosophical vegetarian and vegan thoughts in other non-western societies.

As the author stated, he earns money peddling hardware for these large, distributed coding agents so - to put it nicely - he is biased. I fundamentally disagree with almost everything he said. Local models are just starting to have their moment in terms of speed & intelligence. Theyre closing the gap on intelligence to a point where I can see future advancements in both software and consumer-level hardware making these distributed agent workflows kind of pointless.

India's space work often went under the radar. Im glad they're getting the success and attention they deserve.

Why would those be your two examples when there are numerous more realistic reasons why YouTube would take down a video?

I'd love to have a version of this that supported local models. Maybe even finetuned ones like RedSage.

Its almost a given considering how fast this field moves. Also, what kind of workflow structure would someone have that a single specific model is the only one that would perform acceptably?

Great story. Reminded me what my professional nightmare would look like. But, I think at the end it started to thin out its allegorical premise when it started including SWE terms like Kanban and retros.

Cut down on the one thing they need to keep themselves relevant in this space?

What will happen to Huggingface's Trending Paper page? Its been my alternative since PWC closed, but they seem to have a level of overlap.
