Perhaps but I never once used all four thunderbolt ports at once on that gen of macbook.

I hazard a guess most users are the same and would prefer having a HDMI / SD card for those moments where you just forgot a dongle while travelling (or, as always happens to me - dongle breaking at the worst moment) and I think the modern MacBook IO is significantly better for it

thank god! at work many people intentionally choose the 14" just because of weight. Once you add the charger in, the 16" is very noticeable in a bag and makes you pack a little differently for flights.

It also thermally throttled like hell, was much thinner, and had much reduced IO. What's impressive is keeping the same form factor and IO selection, and still getting that weight reduction.

I think the Mini's primary use case that benefits a 120hz screen is art apps, but the artists I know would prefer OLED over 120hz. For entertainment, video is video, and games on tablets often lock to 30 by default to preserve battery life.

For the iPad Air (especially the 13" model!) I agree 100%.

I'm shocked Apple haven't acquired Procreate yet. It's nearly always in iPad marketing material. Personally I know so many artists who've bought iPads, and the only app they have installed is Procreate.

Feels like OP asked Claude "please rewrite to be more casual and gen-z" ...

Do you you have match frame rate on? Having that off will cause problems as the ATV has to try and interpolate your 24hz content to 30hz, in order to match your (likely) 60hz display.

Change this on your TV. Look for turning off motion smoothing, or better, see if you have a filmmaker mode.

It's a major selling point, for one. They actively sell their products on privacy to the average person and an exposé would harm their image quite significantly.

That said they are not perfect - e.g their wording in their own tracking consent prompts vs the ones they force on others.

Zen is delightful to use, and based on Firefox. I just don't get what's going on at Mozilla.

Many people are attacking you here but I suspect you're right. Here in the UK, we have infrastructure for digital direct bank to bank payments (e.g bypassing Visa & Mastercard). That should mean as long as you have a bank that's willing to work with a service that sells adult content you're OK but:

- Many banks are not OK with that

- Even if you find one who does, finding an Open Banking provider to be that middleman is a nightmare

Short of working with the financial conduct authority to be your own financial institution, it's makes getting paid a pain if you want to accept adult content (even if you have all the safeguards and comply with all UK law!). I can't see anything but it being indirect pressure to censor, and to push smaller players out of the market - such that it's easier to regulate the industry.

It's not due to OSA. Ofcom are the regulator for the OSA, but Imgur was being handed a fine by the ICO in regards to how they handled children's data. It's the same parent company that develops Kik so I'm not super shocked...

and before that we had Bootstrap slop, and before that we had jQuery UI slop, and before that...

[Genuine shoutout to that jQuery accordion, that thing is a web cockroach. I think it will probably outlive us all]

woof, that's pretty bad. Even looking at the repos I get the LLM README.md stank.
