Great marketing stunt, nice work by XTX HR!

There is no such thing as bad marketing, I think this HN mention will get them some as well:)

BeeKeeper is good light alternative.

Oh, wait. That's why I hate Java? We used Netbeans in university...

I am using MJML but custom components aren't great, happy to see this one. Also would be great if you take a look into adding email action buttons, calendar integration and other modern features.

>> Devs, while you are waiting for access right now, over 70 YC companies from the latest W23 batch are ‘AI companies.’

Disagree, got API access relatively early after announcement, have nothing to do with YC. But my suspicion is that some of YC batch got OpenAI API credits to use those, otherwise e.g. phind.com would go out of funding while ago.

Sam Altman just wants to stop new competitors...

I was surprised that when you share a TikTok video on whatsapp/anywhere, it generates unique URL link that can be traces back to your account. This company definitely has "we need more data" culture.

This. Owning ~20% of normal stocks and ~60% of voting stocks shouldn't be allowed for public company. At some point company becomes just CEO's toy to do things they want, in this case "metaverse".

Not sure about Holodomor, but famine in Kazakhstan which killed almost half of population was real. Third of population fled to China during the 1929-1933 and still remain there. To be honest though while Stalin is cruel, he is more comparable to Kim Jong Un than Hitler.

I think nuke analogy is very tempting since US banned A100 export to China. One could assume that AI race of 21st century ~ nuke race in 20th. Note that Nvidia circumvented ban, so race is on..

I support direction of AI control, but I think focusing on size/compute isn't productive at all. Use cases are more important: let it control browser on itself, let execute arbitrary code etc. Depending on capabilities of next GPT versions, opening GPT API could be risky.
