Isn't it easier to kick to the back anyone with a mobile phone with a sound?

This is based on a video seen on Facebook, so take it with a grain of salt.

AFAIK, BYD batteries are based on "bad" materials, with fabrication method perfected until they are competitive [enough(?)] with batteries made with the "good" materials.

The good stuff is patented, locked by the West. China workarounds it. It's not that it is "bad", is just copying West's strategy doesn't work for them.

You're conflating local data extraction with security vulnerabilities remotely exploitable via WhatsApp or RCE du jour. Don't.

Cool; See if this is the time I try using a cuttlefish target + webrtc remoting to drive all those cute privacy intruding apps.

GOS => security, usability

LOS => most security, most usability, breadth of support

Don't forget proprietary security patches are only open sourced 3 months after -- GOS has them due to their partnership with Motorola.

A sufficiently motivated threat actor will have them (the exploits) too.

I moved from a densely populated area to a more sparse one. I'll probably renew Kagi because its assistant can answer my questions, such as: "find me a location where I can be on my computer but also public where I can also be with a group of people". Google's Gemini hallucinated spots or imagined details -- at one point it included a shed in the middle of a road -- the shed existed, nothing else did. DDG did similar.

PS: did not test Copilot nor my own LLM accessing another Search Engine's result -- haven't got the headspace for it.

Did not see that. Thanks for pointing that out! Will re-read the page.

I had a pseudo-plan for something like this but for reasons related to privacy I had two types of chatrooms:

* regular chats, existing only on the server, no leaking the chat transcript except via users, but never via server to server.

* chambers: a global chatroom, located at a server, maybe with a MQTT anyone could subscribe to.

This never left the early planning stages though, but I thought the segregation between federated chatrooms and regular chatrooms was of interest to keep in sync with IRC open but closed nature of chats.

short sci-fi horror story follows:

* Hello, we've called you to HR because we've detected you have been stressed at work.

- Sure, some... overwork status after you reduce headcount, but nothing it isn't being managed with the hierarchy chain.

* Glad to know. Be sure we, as a company, endeavour to have a stress-free workplace. You will be put in a Stress Workplace Reduction PIP, just as a formality of course; since you mentioned you have taken the appropriate steps to reduce stress you should pass the PIP, no need to stress about it! See you in a few weeks.

- Er... Thanks......?

Nowadays since corps lie frequently I treat FAQs as another lie.

If the capability is there, it will be used, specially since the whole decision process appears to have been rather opaque.

I do install them. This day only ClamAV I guess. I used (paid for) ESET Linux before they cancelled their Linux consumer line.

On the fence about trying Kaspersky AV Linux. Wouldn't install their suite on Windows though, last I looked at it hooked too many places, causing weird bugs and slowing everything down. Less bad than Comodo, which was able to bork Cygwin, but still.
