Word. The comment you replied to also gave me a thought.

Tim's public displays for privacy would be a perfect cover story for a gagged backdoored device.

Not likely the case in 2015 Apple nor probably even now, but perhaps a technique for the future or elsewhere to watch out for.

Librera. I found it daunting at first launch, but gave it a chance and once set up it's perfect. You could set it up for her and it would be as friendly as it gets.

For example, my usage now only ever goes like this:

1- Open Librera. Presented with a scrollable page of all book covers.

2- Scroll down to the epub I'm currently reading. Tap it once.

3- Resumes the book where I left off, with previous view settings. In my case full screen text with zero UI (tap once to hide the UI).

Spend far below your means. Don't scale your spending with your earnings.

I had the same reaction, and checked dictionary.com.

This new meaning was there, with its only example relating to AI ads!

2. material made for advertising and other aspects of marketing, as a billboard, video ad, or web page design, or the activity of designing and producing it.

"In our latest campaign for a luxury services client, we used an AI platform to fine-tune creative based on user behavior."

Did AI make up this variant meaning and put it in the dictionary, and AI used the word in generating Google's article? What came first, the chicken or the egg? Regardless things are moving fast.

Yeah, at the time it was pretty widely known that this was the case (I don't recall whether it was in the description specifically). There's no revelation or admission that suddenly occurred this week.

Creators don't publish videos until the high-res versions are done processing.

Neat little game! I don't like that you can lift cubes to see what's hidden, ruins the fun for my personal tastes as it becomes tedious.

Your post resonated with me a lot.

I'm jealous! Experiencing the world with all the garbage filtered out.

I asked ChatGPT:

Is chatgpt a stochastic parrot?

No, ChatGPT is not a stochastic parrot. ChatGPT is a large language model that uses deep learning algorithms to generate text based on the input it receives. While it can sometimes produce nonsensical or inaccurate responses, it is not simply repeating phrases or patterns without any understanding of the meaning behind them. Instead, ChatGPT is designed to analyze and learn from a vast corpus of text data, and it uses that knowledge to generate responses that are intended to be relevant and meaningful based on the input it receives.

VLC has a setting to pause videos when they reach the end, instead of stopping them. Depending on how your system is set up, this might prevent the flashing.
