I don't get why they do these things like debt issuance and stock dilution if they could just spend some of that cash. Like, what else is it for?

Well, I feel like Nintendo just makes games and they've never cared much about lore. I feel the weird choice is by gamers, for continuing to care about this "timeline" which is so clearly a post-hoc rationalization.

This article would work better if it first defined what exactly a software factory is.

Why does the timeline split into 3 after OOT?

Pretty cool. Would love a first-person view as well, especially with a fully modeled cockpit and g-force blackout simulation. I'm dying to know what it would be like to be to actually be in one of these things during a crazy stunt. My intuition tells me that the g-forces make it completely impractical.

I get this, but to be honest he said this when he was in college, I don't put much weight on it. You're telling me that you never said anything stupid in college?

This seems like a bit of an overreaction. Everyone knows that chatbots are fucking stupid, especially when there's zero context provided. This seems less like a real issue to me, and more like just your standard "Google sucks" post that people are constantly making on HN yet nobody cares outside of it.

What is this account? Are we just straight up allowing slop on HN now?

You're missing the forest for the trees here. The point OP is trying to make is that calculators originally were essentially non-deterministic. Technology will go from unreliable to reliable.

Am I the only guy who still thinks we're kind of putting the cart before the horse here? Look, I would love to live in a world where AI is in the business of designing terawatt fusion plants and revolutionizing all other aspects of society. But right now it can't even really tell a puddle in the road. I feel like we have a really long way to go here, hype-laden PR releases about solving math problems aside.

Seems a bit nitpicky, we certainly understand how to use it with great effect, we just don't understand the biochemical mechanism.

I don't get how this is news.
