So just to be clear, what you are saying is that it's fine to talk about banning terms like "AI" as more important than inflation or the cost of diesel as those issues are resolved as we got what we asked for?

That fact that we are talking about this rather than say the price of diesel shows you his genius. Do you really think he cares about this term or the name of Lake Ontario in any actual way other than as a tail to wag the dog?

Do you mean fine tuning (say via LoRA) or working with an "open weight" model or are you talking about true "open source" models. If it is the latter, I struggle to understand how a circa GPT3 model requiring millions and millions to train would be a good use of resources over one of the former.

So the reason why I would ask is that I feel that no one (the employer nor the candidate) should ever want to fill a job with someone who is "fully qualified". I know that sometimes a tight market might mean that there are lots of fully qualified candidates and that presents for me a conundrum. In general though I would recommend to a candidate that they should always seek jobs they are not fully qualified for. Missing two years of required experience, no problem that is an opportunity for growth and an opportunity to explain that if you get the job it locks you into the opportunity. No employer really wants a fully qualified candidate that is constantly looking for a job opportunity where there is growth.

Same here. Im sure some will blame woke but EA killed BioWare around 2014. BioWare games just were not compatible with the release cadence of other EA games like Madden and not compatible with frostbyte that did not even have an inventory system.

I appreciate the reporting from a technical perspective but it seems unethical at some level to do this.
