I don't know how to tell younger people (if you are going the legal route) that we live in a worse that is notably worse than broadcast + cable in many ways.

Every other show is on a different streaming service, which has no incentive to keep it around for more than two seasons unless it's a blockbuster. Oh and content will get vaulted for no good reason.

The irony will be that after all the fearmongering about China winning the AI arms race, it'll be good ol' Chinese manufacturing and IP theft that allows them to win and vanquish America as a threat.

>Does Nvidia have a couple hundred semi trucks, contractors, and IT technicians, to repo the hardware and resell it to someone else before it's lost most of its value?

Via logistics contracts, yes.

I would also add: at profit-taking pricing

"how is this happening in the USA"

The simplest answer I can give is not enough lessons were learned from the Gilded Age, but with the twist of this technology and the associated financials being a complete mystery to the average person.

I was just thinking about this as I just started using Overpass QL to help a friend with a project.

It's better than performance art, it's something you couldn't write.

The same people who still pay for cable and get roped into spending half an hour watching an infomercial at 4am.

Part of this is baked into the experience though, if "ads" here are trailers for upcoming films. I don't know if theaters are now showing ads for products, I haven't been in forever.

Taxation isn't theft but poor fiscal policy is larceny.

I've been in multiple car accidents this year, none of them my fault. Commuting might actually be the death of me, I can't express to a future employer how much I'm willing to trade just to not have to do it anymore. Doesn't help that I deal with some of the worst traffic in America...

If people wanted to listen to Cassandras, or more broadly, people who don't have the power to make or stop changes but are voicing consent or considerations -- they would far more often, as that is very easy to do.

Corporate culture is especially nearly designed to never give Cassandras the time of day.

Why wouldn't people just write the agent off as 'broken'? Would this agent learn to keep most of it's responses to itself or end up actually broken/drifting as a result of having good advice ignored?

If you draw then woodcase pencils are far easier to configure into different strokes, widths, tip lengths etc

Privacy nightmare + worse UX than a phone or sitting at your desk? Dead on arrival. Not a fan of Alexa but at least it can change what you're currently viewing on your Fire stick.

Fishing videos are one of the best usecases I've seen for them, but people generally go fishing alone or with close friends/family so it's a much different scenario than being a glasshole in public.
