You are overestimating how many power users use Apple products.

If you are technology literate, you've seen the evils of Apple for decades.

A power user fixes their own problem, not waits years for Apple to fix it.

I haven't been building Apps on their platform. Apple advertises to me daily.

Not sure if related.

Meh the 4 hour workweek is basically snake oil.

Even Tim's own product couldn't be reduced to 4 hours. "If only I didn't sell a nutritional product, I wouldn't be getting contacted so much."

Yes, and if my job was to fill out paperwork and never Engineer, I could do my work in 4 hours a week.

Heck even if I paid some engineer in india, I'd still need to review their work, including learning the technologies and data sheets. I'm not sure how managers deal with this, just hope for the best?

Why doesn't Amazon do what all monopolies do, lobby the government and cause Regulatory capture to corner the market?

It's easy, spend 100M dollars on a law that makes warehouse labor a mandatory union.

Mom and pop companies can't afford to fill out government/union paperwork for their 3 employees and customers can't go to cheaper alternatives.

But this means Amazon and Amazon employees win.

And "privacy"- meanwhile their App store is full of spyware.

Not that Android is better, but at least they aren't marketing it.

Instead of deaths, we should use number of years of life lost.

When primarily 80+ year olds are dying from COVID, it looks worse than a nuclear accident that killed everyone.

I tried 3 companies and they sucked, but I spent lots of money.

I think I don't have the cool factor.

Kk, so my other answer. Refuse to develop for Apple.

Epic needs to offer a 30% discount for anyone who gets their content from their website.

And while I'm not sure if you can side load on Apple products, if you can't, don't offer your services on Apple products. Customers will move as they wakeup to their horrible business practices.

You can't shut the line down. At best you have a week off for Christmas.

I am surprised to see this posted here. Among the general population, people think adding features is easy, but I'd expect people on HN would understand tech debt.

Maybe they don't understand automotive is old. There is more tech debt than you can imagine.

I have this exact problem. In my niche, I am the best. Most people post their opinions, but I collect data and do math. It makes the content better than competitors.

However I don't have a marketing team, and I'm not a hip hot girl.

Don't get me wrong, the website is popular and I've been on BBC, but I can tell my lower quality competitors are doing better.

Why not use the website instead of an App? Other people said Safari is bad, but you aren't trying to play flash games, you are looking at JavaScript at most.

(Not that I'd ever give Apple money, but trying to find solutions to those who made the mistake)

You can pretty much do anything with Android, the same cannot be said about Apple's dictatorship.

I am not even sure about stock installs given Apple's poor security record.

Say you use the tips here( https://efficiencyiseverything.com/time/) to save time, particularly the first example about shoes.

You are going to have more time to do anything, relax, think, clean, whatever.

Why would spending more time putting on shoes be better?
