Does unemployment benefits still demand you apply for X number of jobs?

Could be a cause.

So, you're employed, you have the income to pay your rent, but you want to decide not to and feel okay about that.

A lot depends on the expectations of your workplace.

Roll out of bed whenever and work in my PJs? Not when my meetings are all over video.

Change up my work hours to take random long breaks and work odd hours? Not when a fair portion of my work is collaborative.

You need to take the time to find out what works for you.

ahh, I did think that first student "quote" seemed made up by someone who doesn't listen to students.

I use tickets to offload my memory and ideas for later thought.

And as bonus points it can effectively prevent people from gobbling up only the work they want to do and leaving the shit for everyone else.

quite. I was like "congratulations, you've made a spam, here's your blacklist"

two former co-workers who aren't "names" in the industry.

They could argue with grace, they could see what was needed and build it.

And even the projects that were built quickly were easy for other people to work on and extend.

ferrets seems to be having a good time on tiktok at the moment. So cute and so wholesome. Not political right?

Ferrets are a weirdly political issue in some areas of the USA.

It's pretty hard to have anything be politics free when the world we live in is political

That it's not a great reading of sci-fi to say it's 'set in the future'

Do android's dream of electric sheep is a novel set in its time, exploring social issues of its time, using a fictitious universe to help explore without so much irl baggage.

to each their own. I don't like low hydration, dense breads, and I do like high hydration airy breads.

because that's what I like eating, not because that's what's pretty.

i've had a middle of the road garmin for a few years now. What watch you want depends what you want out of it. I cycle daily and like to have the information available for how long my commute is, what the weather was like (though the wind speeds are often very off).

It works nicely as a watch too, though unless you pay top whack they aren't very fashionable looking.

I don't care much about apps, but I do care if it can connect to other equipment (like a rowing machine or a turbo) so being ANT+ compatible is important to me.

if you've seen tailess cats in the UK (I know you refer to the wider commonwealth), they would not be mutilated, at least legally, like that.

tail docking, ear docking, declawing, descenting (of ferrets), is illegal unless for the health of the animal or for a few working breeds where the dog is a working dog.

(England and Wales do have some different laws on this than Scotland and NI)
