Please stop equating rights with privileges.

Canadian here.

Can you imagine how unreasonable this sounds for any other rights?

Try the right to protest: "It's the responsibility of the bandana industry to regulate all protests, and since they have abrogated that responsibility, protestors must forfeit those rights."

Don't ask for resources - ask for advice.

I guess this makes it pretty clear why we don't have a glut of competent math teachers: Anyone who could do the job would recognize it isn't worth it.

Holy shit!

Thank you for writing this.

The real question is: Why is the school system + culture producing such a bumper crop of sociopaths?

Is the belief that erasing problem people is a real solution to systemic and structural violence the root of the problem?

Yes.

An aspiring head of state that desires personal access to the state's funds will prefer accounting practices that are irregular, and will outlaw whistleblowing on these practices.

You may wish to be a noble ruler, setting just institutions and regulations for the smooth operation of society. A petty ruler would wish to enrich themselves and their friends and not worry about the consequences.

I look forward to seeing what we learn from urbit ten years from now. 0=true? Crazy sigils, three ways?

I just went back to their website to remember the special name they used for distributed computation, and they have introduced /even more new words and layers!/ Godspeed, you.

Disgusting that people would downvote this!

If we allow this to become normal, we'll regret it.

How much do you love the social credit system? Remember, any answer other than "with all my heart" is a ticket to the gulag.

You mock those who desire freedom at your own risk. Github is microsoft now, and supporting it feeds the beast.
