So target stable languages that don't change, TCC with win32 is a fantastic target. The apps work great with wine and you have opengl, controller and audio support. I have a wrapper for winsock 1.0 I need to package up and release, works great for small network apps.

Also why did you mention MIT licensed, it is obviously BSD licensed.

Linux success has nothing to do with GPL and everything to do with a lawsuit and timing. Linus himself said if it wasn't for the lawsuit Linux probably would not exist.

I was a windows 2k user during that time because win xp was horribly unstable till sp3. It was rock solid after that, finally as good as windows 2k. Though I never liked the Fisher price color scheme.

Interesting, I would think it would work much better results with myhdl, nmigen or systemC since LLMs already do python and c fairly well. Has anyone tried LLMs with verilog or spice yet?

I take issue with the only 100 MB footprint, that is still pretty big when consider fasm, tcc and rebol are all closer to 1 meg.

As an aside, I wrote a dialect of forth and LLM was pretty good about constraining itself to a subset and create fairly usable code. I was having it implement cordic functions to implement sin/cos.

I was under the impression LISP is nice to write and work with but difficult to read. How well can you understand LISP written by a LLM?

Coding is easy if you enjoy doing it, met plenty of professional programmers that hated it and never felt the desire to improve. To them it was a way to get a paycheck that paid reasonably well.

WTF, growing up I read and always kept a book or magazine in the restroom. I fail to see the difference.

I think you are greatly minimizing what Mr. Fractic has done, I don't get the phone thing either. He got a lot of the original developers of commodore and the original molds, the guy is a super fan and I can't think of anyone better to continue the brand

That is really cool, I have been looking into using my uno q with whisper and piper tts also. Though still at the research stage.

Re: bison and yacc. It came from the dragon book which for forever was the way to learn to write languages.
