Most people realize the shitty things they have done only at a time like this. The ones who actually care, take or at least try to take the necessary steps to prevent it from happening at all.

Looks like this been made with AI. It seems too "clean" and simple and others have pointed out some issues.

I believe whatever universe "contains" us or simulates us has to be inconceivably different to ours. For us, only the physics of this universe makes sense and it seems pretty straightforward to imagine that we cannot conceive of any rules that the outside world follows.

> I think most people would end up mired in the desire for purity without the achievement to balance it out.

I feel too many game devs get lost in that instead of just focusing on making a good game. Just make the damn game - there are so many good engines and languages out there, why do you want purity when you don't have the freedom to pursue it?

The rule-set would essentially be a field, I guess?

I wonder what could happen at the edge of these zones where incompatible physical laws meet.

It has all distilled down to RCS Messages and other messenger apps so stop worrying about what Google is doing and start using whichever app your family and friends are on.

Both ecosystems have their own pros and cons but I wouldn't trade my Pixel for an iPhone ever.

In fact, I recently got a refurbished iPhone 13 just to check the ecosystem out (as a mobile dev) and get a feel for things but honestly I prefer my Pixel more. There are so many things that Android does well like notifications and typing (these two stood out to me on Apple - horrible implementations really, especially the latter) that it will always remain my primary driver.

But yeah, if someone thinks that Android is not for them and Apple's walled garden is worth entering then or vice versa then whatever floats your boat, I guess.

You can delete the related items from your account history or clear it altogether. It won't recommend them anymore and you can then mark the stories you are not interested in.

I think he means core CS stuff like OS or compilers or algorithms. Programming =/= CS. You can be a good programmer who can build amazing apps or websites while having little idea about how an OS works or how to create/analyze some complex algorithm. I highly doubt most of those eight year olds or boot camp graduates can invert a binary tree.

Maybe not Windows phones but definitely Android phones. Because Edge is available on Android and seems to be quite popular. And that is a huge market, bigger than ios'.

Compare the latest Mint with Elementary. It's much cleaner.
