Fairphone is doing interchangeability for... phones https://www.fairphone.com/en/ Although the feature/price is a bit below average brands, they are greatly priced if you take into account the sustainability. I Hope more brands will go this way so concurrence could help get better products and reduce electronic trash.

The main problem with nuclear is that when something goes wrong, it last for way longuer than any other form of catastrof.

And radiations in Fukushima will last for the next 1000 years. Do we have the same understanding of "zero error tolerance" ?

Consider also batterie life and how it's affected by load cycle numbers: ablets get charged one every second day and e-ink devices once a month. Consider also technologie obsolecsence: estimate the times it will take in 10 years for your devices to open a book, change pages, mark highlights. I hardly open a pdf now on my iPad mini and my e-ink device from the same period seems to do the same operation at lighting speed.

Besides ethics - should we also stop calling science studies implying monkeys ? Non self aware animals as rats ? What about Ants or Coral ?

Please defined "no true control" because you may only make science on Math then.

OP also says > but Google will remain committed to tracking everything about you that it possibly can. Except silently, and without your ability to opt out using ad blockers etc.

Also others may no longer track you at the moment but they definitely will do in the future.

So... Google breached a bit deeper in our privacy and paved the way for others to follow them. I can't help seeing them so evil.

Well, content production has a price.

I hate having to pay my groceries, should I stole it instead?

Saddly the kind of pieces sitting in Rijskmuseum basement will never refill with "lots of new suplly". Its heritage from past that you may not be able to see yourself but which is publicly cared and may be enjoyed by future generation.

I really like the disruptive idea and it may work as expected for a while but in a few decades everything's gone in private collections.

The primary goal of museum is to care of masterpieces and history traces. They're definitely not an entertainment center as a zoo. Don't get me wrong, I'd love the opposite because lions are sensible beings are status aren't.
