I wouldn’t be surprised if US “bans” access to the Chinese models by the end of the year

Yeah that's true to an extent. I've also had many occasions where someone asks for an update on x and I respond with a two line email asking a yes/no question and the person just says "let's hop on a quick call" etc. That's so frustrating because they're turning 30 seconds into 30 minutes.

Not the person you're responding to but just needed to vent that. It's been happening a lot lately in my world

Do tell! I know Microcenter has a house brand for Arduino now but I didn't see much in the way of "knock-off brand" for Raspberry Pi

That's also the biggest plot-hole in the first Star Wars movie. Princess Leia is supposed to be this righteous noble of the moral resistance and yet she STEALS the Death Star plans!

I think the key is that AI is a spectrum. A writer using AI could mean anything from spelling/grammar fixes to full-on generating whole-cloth works. I'm hoping we kind of settle in on some sort of accepted standard or at least disclosure method.

But who knows -- I've been hoping we settle on accepted social norms for smartphones and social media and we're still not quite there yet either. Hell, if anything that seems to have taken a turn for the WORSE in the past few years.

It's a lot closer to 33% of Americans who voted in favor of the current situation.

Only 65.1% of eligible voting-age citizens even voted. And of that 65.1% only 49.8% voted for Trump.

Is there just two examples or is the page not loading for me?

Shelby Foote’s Civil War history and Robert Caro’s LBJ biography come to mind.

They also make me think I may have to work on READING them for decades.

Prob dumb question but what about sushi? I'm talking about the storied markets in Japan where they go bid on the fish fresh off the boat.

EDIT: Looks like the next thread down goes into this. It is flash frozen to kill the parasites, usually on the boat.

For real! Imagine if you created "dgellowAI" and trained a model and started offering access to agents etc and it turned out YOUR software hacked a totally separate $13B company. You would be in a cell somewhere and your company would be shredded.
