May be it crossed into an area of space where physics is different.

I bet we wouldn't hear about it when it fails. At least not from science.com

It is a nice thing.

But I have always wondered why doesn't diesel and petrol cars have different shaped fuel filling ports? So that one would never fill the wrong fuel type from a filling station?

Have you still figured how trump won a second time?

^ This is how.

This is politics. You are trying to fight logic and reason with politics. That is why you will always run out of arguments and you will always fail outside of your echo chamber..

>completely disconnected..

Why is it completely disconnected?

>actually discuss it directly

So you want to discuss it independently of laws and law enforcement? Just the humanitarian side without any other considerations? Is that it?

> literally just "learned" a couple of replies ago from me

This is not correct. I only saw your comment after I made the ones you are referring to. I think this one https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=50281449. There is probably no proof that I can give. You ll have to take my word for it.

>But it can be just as consequential as a criminal punishment though..

It. doesn't. matter. If you take a loan from a bank, and bank forecloses your house for non-payment, you and your family is going to be home less. It is very consequential, sure. But that what "law enforcement" mean. And without it, there will be chaos.

You are not being realistic. Because you don't see the slippery slope on which your argument stands.

>Lmao I am not frustrated.

Thanks for confirming it.

>I enjoy telling unserious people like you to fuck off :D

Yes, same here, but I use reason, not bad words. And thus I have sent of dozens of "Fuck off"s to you in the time we were talking...And I don't know what you mean by "unserious people". I just like picking apart shallow reasoning..

>would you be OK with the Air Force dropping a bunker buster bomb on your house, killing the home invader(s), and you, and your family/pets/etc, and destroying your stuff, and the same for several neighboring homes?..

No, but no one is doing that as far as I can see. And only the bare minimum is done to correct illegal status, namely sending those people to their native places. If you have a lesser action to correct it, do share.

>Breaking and entering is a criminal offense...

The question is if you would want them removed from your house/premises. Not if you want to punish them.

Comment · 1 day ago
For the nth time it is not "their home" if they were occupying it illegally!

>There are two axes here: whether something is a punishment, whether it's deserved.

There is no punishment in the picture at all. YOU want it to be in the picture because that is something you can outrage on.

>Anyway, your posts have too many exclamation points and curses, so I don't want to engage anymore. Have a nice day.

Sure. Stop responding. Have a very nice day.

>Fuck off with your unserious nonsense.

I can understand your frustration. It is quite understandable when you are losing an argument.

You are losing the argument because all your responses are about "punishment". I am talking about "stopping an illegal state of affairs from going on". Even my comment that you quote, is about that. You are making the argument about "punishment", because that is something you can outrage on. It would quite pathetic display you are putting, if it was not so amusing for me.

So were you a vim engineer or a sublime text engineer before AI?

> horse-carriage..

For traveling to near by places, a horse might be the most cost effective way even now, if you have a place for it to graze and a free supply of water..

>University (really all education beyond teaching people to speak) will be pointless because there’s no work to do and because growing your human capital doesn’t change your life outcomes

You lost me here...

Are we willing to trade off the convenience of perpetual connectivity to increased well being?

Two things.

1. There is no evidence. Mostly because Well being cannot be really quantified. 2. Convenience and comforts trumps well being. Basic human nature. Are we willing to teach kids abstract concepts such as wisdom and "nishkamakarma" so that they will have well being instead of conveniences and comforts? They will be less of a "knowledge worker" and more of a philosopher. They will consume vastly less, thus would hurt the current system of capitalistic indulgence.

We are not willing to do any of these. At the root, it is you that is causing your unwellbeingness...But you can't change. Deal with it. Stop the whining! Let the kids have what ever fun they want..Don't snatch the phones from their hands. Teach them stuff so that they can see it for what it is (an instrument of manipulators and exploiters), that they are repelled by it.

Yeah...I am ok.
