Got this one from Bill Burr's podcast: Never order scrambled eggs. They usually get made ahead of time in large quantities and sit underneath a heat lamp.

http://blogs.oracle.com/henrik/entry/moving_to_openjdk_as_th... Note that the RI has a very specific purpose (eg, to serve as the RI) and is generally not updated except when/if the specification is revised.

So OpenJDK may be adequate as a RI, but will be unstable to use in a production environment.

A similar thing happened to me as a seller. I saw that one of my old textbooks was selling for a nice price, so I listed it along with two other used copies. I priced it $1 cheaper than the lowest price offered, but within an hour both sellers had changed their prices to $.01 and $.02 cheaper than mine. I reduced it two times more by $1, and each time they beat my price by a cent or two. So what I did was reduce my price by a few dollars every hour for one day until everybody was priced under $5. Then I bought their books and changed my price back.

Defending Your Life

From IMDB: In an afterlife resembling the present-day US, people must prove their worth by showing in court how they have demonstrated courage.

Albert Brooks dies and has to prove that he has conquered his fears in order to "move on" or get smarter.

He looks back on his life and sees how things could have been better if he'd just had more courage.

They wait until the end to say that it could be just a neutron star.

Although the evidence points to a newly formed black hole in SN 1979C, another intriguing possibility is that a young, rapidly spinning neutron star with a powerful wind of high energy particles could be responsible for the X-ray emission

I haven't studied Prop 19 at all, but my guess is that its primary purpose is to get democrats to the polls. It's just like all the 'defense of marriage' propositions that were on the ballot when Bush was trying to get reelected to get republicans to the polls.

If so, that's quite a way for a libertarian to waste $100k.

edit: I love the open debate. Yeah, legalizing pot is definitely the most pressing problem facing our nation, so let's downvote anybody who says differently. HN is turning into Reddit.

I'm missing something. Apparently the plan was to prosecute people for posting classified documents to Wikileaks. Diabolical stuff indeed.

It was actually 35% off when the program started (it was called Live.com back then). You can see the original Fatwallet thread here http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/arcmessageview.php?catid=18&...

During a few periods, Ebay was handing out 10% off coupons that could be stacked with the cashback program for incredible deals. I bought so much stuff that I maxed out my account the first year ($2500).

I watched the first bit to find out how Vernor pronounces his last name--turns out the 'e' isn't silent.

We should dismantle the Department of Education. I suggest waiting until next year on February 6th, which would be fitting.
