No he's not doing what Bill Gates did he disdains charity and sees it as stupid virtue-signaling empathy. It's really doing Elon a huge service here to make that comparison. This is to get public support for SpaceX.

I have nothing against the idea I just don't think they bothered even doing a real battery swap for the demo

I thinking most people who follow and like Zitron are in it for the AI pessimism, and only some of them care about the financials. He has shifted his focus to the financials, and they are seeing his predictions of failures for these AI and data center companies failures as validation that AI is all hype.

To me the AI stuff is scarily good now, don't see many software jobs holding up for long and other fields will follow, and he might be right about the financials but it doesn't change anything to me the AI is here, getting better and better and is going to take our jobs.

He is arguing financials and companies failing, but his followers see it as AI sucks and is all hype and nothing to worry about.

Idgaf if model building is profitable, the genie is t going back in the bottle and hoping it back in is definitely not the solution

They're not afraid of doing tricks in front of live audience either. Look at the battery swap event. No camera placed anywhere near where the "swap" was happening for a few minutes. Then the car drove off Wow! Amazing! And they never talked about battery swap again

Why is this all so political? Why can't you meanies just maintain my priors that this man is personally engineering the coolest tech and saving humanity despite all evidence he is an idiot and hates people? I am going to find a forum where I'm not subject to this

> just endless anti-tech hate, downstream from idiotic TikTok politics.

The hate and politics obsession of the people you're complaining about on here pales in comparison to the guy doing this presentation. He is doing it 24/7 I'm not even sure he sleeps he is so engaged in it.

I know this is completely lost on Elon and the likes but the attack was not on "Russian territory" it was on territory most of the world does not recognize as Russia.

The goal is to move people along. By then they'll have something as performant but cheaper for them

I'm old enough to remember when Elon was announcing the America party and insinuating Trump was a pedo.

Some people deserve such negativity. I don't see what that has to do with star trek.

Doesn't make sense for them to give away weights. They sell their own service using that and killing the competition (that they have a stake in) isn't in their interest either because their cloud growth is based on other companies' continuing heavy investment in this space.

They're good at serving popcorn with a teleoperator.

Gemini 3.8 + antigravity. Opus also in antigravity for harder stuff.

This move will help Firefox a lot. This is why they've been my browser on mobile for years, now there's a big incentive to switch on desktop

Yeah I don't know what's holding it back in the browser, doing stuff to sheets is fine from antigravity.
