I can't watch Mark Rober's content because of this. He dilutes his remarkable engineering stunts into ADHD internet memes.

But is it actually an OS?

Thanks for sharing your interesting research! Can you explain your honeypotting approach further? How are you "presenting" as a SIP relay? What other honeypots or protocols can you detect?

Eh, I actually do have kids, and like other North American children they usually don't pick up their toys. When things get messy enough, the "toy sheriff" comes into town and sets things straight. He's got a hat and a badge and a thick mean southern accent. Toys that aren't put away get locked in "jail" for indefinite time.

I won't lie, I don't do this often, and I end up picking up plenty of toys, and would welcome robot assistance, but it still seems wasteful and privileged to use advanced tech in this way

Toddlers should learn to pick up their own toys...? Unless we're grooming them for a life of pampered self-absorbed entitlement?

Because we're nearing the endgame...perfect total surveillance and control will be possible soon

Won't regulators just lock down all hardware? All bootloaders and OS are signed?

Or maybe China's math/science/population/gov investment powerhouse is pulling ahead and becoming unstoppable?

How about cheap healthcare? Or affordable housing, water, electricity and food? Is AI improving human quality of life?

There is a shred of truth in what you're saying, but I think you're generally mistaken. The USA in particular has companies that pratice censorship to support their Left/Right ideology (or push the views of rich people, politicians), but not even Trump can tell OpenAI or Google to turn their model into FoxNews bots.

Maybe AI slop has something to do with it?
