Not quite classical - "jazzical" perhaps? There is a freeform nature to the music that is more Free Jazz than classical, but the underlying classical style of the input is still readily apparent.

It might be interesting to feed it Jazz instead. Jazz in Jazz out.

> The only pitfall we've run into was in connecting the manipulation of the rods with the manipulation of the more abstract numbers.

You could try clearly printing the numbers on the rods - connecting the abstract symbol to the physical unit of measure. No science behind this, just the gut feeling of a father of 3.

The ultrasonic transducer probably does a pretty good job of warding off animals. Nothing quite like disturbing the wildlife while counting how many people are disturbing the wildlife.

Wonderful book, but if Norman is updating it, I really hope he drops the 'POET' backronym. It was contrived and awkward, and it's repeated inclusion felt seemed more like a slight to the publisher who changed the name from Psychology Of Everyday Things to its more approachable name.

"six grueling hours of chemistry, physics, and math"

Otherwise known as three two-hour papers - hardly the stuff of legend! I'm not suggesting the papers are easy, just that by any measure, at this level the length is nothing remarkable.

> The BBC did an edit of the first series of myth busters, they chopped it down to 25 minutes, just by getting rid of the stupid recaps.

Now there's a service I'd pay for! It wouldn't even have to sell the edited content, just an edit decision list that given the original video skips over all the dross on playback.
