You may need to adjust your stack depending on the caliber of problem you're dealing with.

Honestly, pretty high. Tech savvy users know how to do a lot of these things on our own and even to ask doesn't occur to us. The most creative users are those who are unaware of the limitations and will just try stuff.

It really isn't that novel of an application. *claw and hermes have been around for some months, some Chinese providers offered this (minimax has on-demand hosted while z.ai has autoClaw BYOC). This just tosses it into a VM with some built in tools to do typical things. Perplexity computer has been around for almost a year and is similar.

This is just the big US guys fighting for attention (It is all you need after all)

I don't think it is the z.ai subscription that offers other models (at least I don't see any on mine). The Qwen token plan has a lot of chinese models including GLM and Deepseek and will probably be the one I use once my z.ai sub gets near the end.

As part of all the work being done I really hope the sidebar gets more user control. There is a bunch of stuff that I don't intend to use myself but take up first class space (designer is always there, I never need to bring up artifacts, etc). I'd like to reduce the sidebar to what I use most often.

Specifically around the work UX. Trying to bring up scheduled tasks is really painful and required a lot of clicking around instead of just seeing the task results under my project. I hope this is being looked at.

Lastly, and this is a real nit. Let me turn off the "tips" when stuff is being worked on. I'm already paying, you don't need to force a rotating feature advertisement into the interface.

On mobile, uBO has been able to get around the "use our app" block. It took a week or two for the filters to get updated but now it is a non-issue. Tested in Firefox and Vivaldi on Android.

My android phone will put apps into "deep sleep" and remove all their permissions if I haven't opened it in a month or so. I just toss travel apps into a folder in my launcher and they are there if I need them but become just a consumer of drive space on their own.

We have also seen this play out with WFH/Covid. The recall into centralized structures, regardless of the technology available to mitigate the need, was fast and broadly applied.

Our current social structure is actively resistant to decentralization and I don't see that changing unless there is some forcing function to break that hold and keep it broken for new norms to settle into expectations.

> No, they haven't figured out anything. Just vibe coding it with their bleeding dege models.

I'm sure you were saying "bleeding edge" but my first impression was to translate dege to mean degen/degenerate which made this so much more fun to read.

Samsung's 1 hand mode doesn't just shift the UI down, it downscales it to the left or right (swappable with a tap) so, for example, on my S24Ulta my one thumb can reach the entire screen height and width.

Looking through your blog it is very much keeping the brand baked in. It would be a nice little nod to toss a couple sentences about the branding on the about page or somewhere so if someone wants to know how you came to it they can. Leaving it to "wink, nod, inside joke you'll never know" is a bit off-putting when you are building a brand around the theme. It also makes it more memorable for those that read the blurb.

Right now I see you are 11 of 34 comments on this post and all follow this same dismissive tone. Lighten up and let people enjoy stuff.

My understanding is that you get $20 in api credits each month and a one time $100 until mid September. So you can still use the model with a subscription but you aren't getting any kind of discount.

I burned through $45 in 3 prompts to fix some bugs in my code (Some kind of tricky to isolate). That thing burns through cash so fast I don't see myself using it outside of maybe building execution plans for other systems

I think it depends on how you use it. All things in moderation and all. I've had one for years but when I set it up it only allowed it a few notifications. When meetings start during my work day, getting e-mail to my personal account, and when I get messages from my wife, that's it.

So when I'm not working the watch is... just a watch.
