Too many {} and "" for rapid prototyping for me. I've always considered forking it to use yaml instead.

I've had freelance recruiters ghost me. It makes me wonder if it was more convenient for them or if they were themselves ghosted by the company they applied me to.

There's this perception in the corporate world that telling a candidate why they were rejected opens up the company to a potential lawsuit. I have no idea if there's any truth to that statement or if it's just a convenient excuse that gets repeated.

> If, however, you're not sensitized to small details, switching to PC is a pretty painless process.

There's another category to consider: Those who use mostly open source apps and those who prefer a better user experience. Switching is easy if you're the former. Not so much if you're the latter. The Mac app ecosystem is hands down the best there is. Mac apps are not just easy to use, but pleasant. Windows apps are ugly and often difficult to use. Heaven help you on Linux.

I miss the MacOS software ecosystem in general. Beautiful, easy to use native apps that you're happy to pay for because they just work. I fear that culture will be lost with no place to go when MacOS goes away.

Patton said, word for word, "We defeated the wrong enemy" when he was relieved of his command. Which is trivial to find had you spent 10 seconds in google.

From Patton's journal, taken from The Patton Papers, 1940–1945, edited by Martin Blumenson:

> In my opinion, the American Army as it now exists could beat the Russians with the greatest of ease, because while the Russians have good infantry, they are lacking in artillery, air, tanks, and in the knowledge of the use of the combined arms’ whereas we excel in all three of these. If it should be necessary to fight the Russians, the sooner we do it the better.
