I thought this too when I was 18. Now I'm 41 and too tired for that.

There are tons of languages that don't use indefinite articles. Russian is a big one, sure.

I live in Finland, where in "product companies" developers don't always speak great English. Or they might not speak Finnish if they're immigrants. So the employer wants to pick and choose product managers that they think are "presentable" enough in terms of linguistic or social competence to put directly in front of a customer. They seem to value this high enough that they are willing to take the productivity hit from the indirection.

I don't like that they have that data in the first place. But then again I don't use Chrome.

I've been happy with Qobuz as well. I use the third party open source QBZ client on Linux desktop.

I don't speak Korean, but I'm a language nerd. Sometimes for fun I write Finnish in the Hangul alphabet in my journal (requires some approximation/adaptation).

I think it's best for universities to train their own future researchers. Research, science, and the university's own core goals should be the focus of teaching.

Anything that spills over from that can be jobs, industry, innovations and all that.

Similar situation in Finland. There have only recently been some consequences for the berry companies and reforms are underway. The pickers would come mainly from Thailand with tourist visas. This year a majority of the visas have been denied and the berry companies are throwing tantrums.

They've been engaging in illegal price-fixing, too.

I have one stashed away. Bought it from a Dutch importer in the late 2000s. I also ran OpenBSD on it for a while.

They are deliberately not looking at coreutils code because the Rust versions are released as MIT and they don't want the project contaminated by GPL. I am not fond of this, personally.

In Finland, we make an independent computer magazine called Skrolli that comes out 4 times per year. Our issues are about 120 pages each, but with hardly any ads.
