Legally Russia is the internationally recognized successor state. Russia even paid off the whole Soviet debt, but in exchange inherited all of the USSR's legal privileges (right to have nukes under NPT, right to the spot on the Sec Council, right to observer state in Danube, etc)

In East Germany typewriters were fingerprinted so police knew exactly who to look for.

Just solving crimes.

This.

Optane died because Intel wanted to kill AMD and ARM with it. Killed Intel and a great technology along with it.

Whatever it was, I noticed it was Stripes, and respected their honesty despite being a military paper. Stripes has always been anove average in its honesty.

Point is, this war is a shitshow.

About a week ago Stars and Stripes had an article that strongly implied that the war with Iran had already had far more casualties than the (at the time) three KIA.

I think it was about increased blood donations in Germany.

But sales taxes are significantly lower and easily lowered or even avoided by driving a half hour.

No one does this, because they're low enough to begin with.

Coat the whole vessel in a couple mm of sylgard-184 and it'll last a century (or until it's beached).

Producers have already been announcing force majure to legally stop production.

Qatar gas being the big one for LNG. It'll takes them two weeks to restart four to get to full production. So a tight LNG market has 20% of the world production out for three weeks.

My understanding is that, until the hits on Tehrans oil storage sites yesterday, the oil infrastructure has been spared. Nothing that isn't easy to repair.

Ie the price increase we've seen so far os mostly pricing the closing of the staits and the risk of reduced production production is halted due to running out of storage (ie akin to a cpu "pipeline stall".

But Iran got hit badly yesterday, with tar raining on the capital. If Iran retaliates against infrastructure...

Label the fruit as a gmo and the market for them collapses. Which is why we're not allowed to have clear stickers at the store.

Hmm next time they go for a feel I'll tell them not to sexually harass me loud enough for the whole line to hear.

They feed on folks wanting to avoid embarrassment, not wanting to miss their flights, etc.

" I shouldn’t be strip searched for the crime of showing up to the airport."

People have forgotten that the TSA got caught lying about the machines not taking pictures (its just a cartoon!) and their employees laughing at people's bodies.

If the TSA wants to disrobe me they're going to have to do it the honest, old fashioned way. Not some sterilized make believe.

Whistling loudly helps too.

We're not weirdos. The weirdos are the cattle walking into a microwave oven.

They ask me "would you like a private screening?"

Hell no! I need witnesses.
