Awesome! I'm taking prerequisite classes (probably for Physician's Assistant school) while picking up a few shifts at the local EMS station. Good luck on your journey!

If the tech industry is any indicator, frontier labs were applying a "move fast and break things" mentality to AI models. Now that they really are breaking things in the real world, they have to reckon with the reality that product safety matters

I noticed that audio quality begins degrading above 100% (at least if the media is already at high volume), so it really is a useful concept. I'm unsure what Linux distro I'm recalling this from, but it was useful on my little old netbook from college

Electric scooters are a walking enhancer in an urban area. Now you can go 20kph in a city and easily park your vehicle. They're also super cheap to own and operate (or borrow one when needed). That's a totally different animal than a $40k subcompact trike car that requires an actual paid parking spot

It is a commodity product and the price is everywhere you go. It's just a low effort topic to talk about, like the weather or the local sports team

Directionally, that's why companies are getting rid of token leaderboards and imposing limits on LLM costs. There's a diminishing marginal return to tokens
