"Illegals" != "Illegal alien"

There's not much recent history of particular consequence facing for this sort of thing in the United States, financially or politically. It's not like we locked up bankers after the housing bubble collapsed or punished people for lying us into Middle Eastern wars.

Isn't it just kind of how we speak about these sort of things? Like, say your partner asked you if you washed the dishes, would you tell them "No, the dishwasher did" or just "Yes"?

"No one forces you..." is an interesting line to go down in the comments of an article that focuses on using messaging apps to deliver exploits to a cellphone. It's pretty malware adjacent. Isn't that sort of thing how Jamal Khashoggi and his friends, family, and coworkers were hacked before his murder/execution?

The breadth of prosecutorial immunity is one of those things that reveals how broken the American system is.

That's not a pay wall, it's a sign-in wall.

And robotic cops to enforce the law!

Yes but it’s a torrent, the target isn’t Sonarr, it’s manual downloads.

Ooo, have you read any articles on that happening? I missed them! Given that this is specifically a comment chain in a discussion about them working with authorities, that they'd work with authorities hardly seems like science fiction.

Why would someone want to live 100 years? 80? 60? 40? 20? Were ultimately just saying we like living and would like to keep living until we decide we don’t want to anymore. The thought that people might like living longer than they get is pretty well supported by every dying person who doesn’t want to die rather than just some speculative fiction.

They could be happy to assist you with a task that they also then flag and forward to authorities, especially if their assistance doesn't break the law but has evidence of you doing so.

Isn't its population also larger than all three combined? It seems like some per capita measurement might be more telling here.

Are you under the impression that lawyers have never included things that later turned out to be false or unprovable in their initial filing of a lawsuit? If lawyers are so infallible, why would one have openly admitted to firing someone for a legal medical treatment they received?

I think that, per the parent who you initially replied to's point, that taking a tabloid's clickbait excerpts from one-side of a lawsuit is a terrible way of understanding the truth of a dispute.

I've no idea what happened. Treating allegations in a lawsuit as undeniable true or "flat out admissions" is a bad idea, though. Doing that would have you believing that Craig Wright is Satoshi Nakamoto, after all, he claimed in a lawsuit he is.
