Proud exSDF member from the old days.
SDF was considered 'vintage' back when i joined so must be doubly so now.
Was introduced to Gopher back then too, along with NetBSD.
What a blast from the past to see SDF.org make it to HN in 2026. Proud grandpa. lol.

I came here thinking the topic was on AI model routing, but it isnt.
OpenWRT project maintains a list of 'supported' hardware you can choose from. You can also check the OpenWRT forumns for what people are recommending and why.

I run a similar setup, just with different models. I also use herdr, which lets me have the same project worked on side by side by different models, each in its own git worktree.

I was cleaning up a bunch of stale SSH access creds I had forgotten about and decided to migrate to FIDO2 keys.

Show them how to be resourceful, think for themselves and own their decisions by practicing it yourself and telling stories.
I bought a book on a subject I wanted to understand and read it to my kid every night with silly voices that sent them to sleep. They’re older now with a solid grasp of those foundational topics, which has helped their schoolwork and interactions with teachers, even if they’ve been labelled the class nerd. Works both ways. lol

Deepseek released just enough to stir the pot but not enough to cook your own from scratch.
Wake me up when we can clone, point it at a dozen H100s we own, and get a working production service.
Anthropic and OpenAI will do just fine.
