Yeah PayPal is a mess.

I have no idea what it would take the start something to make payments better and easier to deal with. I’m down to help out; my wife (cpa cma finance) is probably going to pick apart any business plan that involves financial transactions.

Holy shit, this is cool!

I canceled my Strava membership when I learned of the price hike news. I never got an email about it and couldn’t find any information on Strava about the price increase.

So I am no longer a paying member.

Your app look super cool, and would be great in Taiwan and Japan where it’s quite mountainous.

I’m interested in being a beta tester if you’re looking.

Plant based meats are full of sodium and chemicals. Now, I’m not saying real meat isn’t; most places stuff meats full of antibiotics etc.

If I had to choose one or the other, real meat hands down. I just don’t eat meat that much, maybe twice a week now.

I’m looking forward to vat grown meats, but the aluminium foil hat person in me thinks it would be used as a carrier for other crap the government decides to throw in there.

A lot of people are spouting doom and gloom for the entire industry, but I feel like Facebook had this coming. Especially since they lost billions in Meta.

It seems to me that there are a lot of software jobs out there, and companies can’t seem to find enough people. But that said, I’m sure the story is probably different in Silicon Valley

Oh awesome. Ftl has been sitting in the queue for a long time now, might be time to redownload and get that mod

I honestly hope this forces twitter to crash and burn. I feel sorry for those who would lose their jobs. That said, twitter is utter garbage and is nothing but a place for people to complain

Tell me your ways. I wouldn’t mind working in government. Bonus that I’m a veteran (states) but now I’m 40 and still new to software ( 3 years experience self taught )

Only issue would be remote work!

This is pretty much true. Unfortunately this comes with the downside of high heat from the video card , but I suppose if you buy a gaming laptop for the sole purpose of business, that wouldn’t be a problem.

There are many gaming laptops that are more serviceable than business laptops. However, they also tend to be heavier.

It’s a trade off I guess

I read this as “coffee linked to reduced cardiovascular disease and Morality.”

China has been going through something similar. The river is drying up due to no rain. Electricity black outs has forced factories to shut down by government decree.

Imagine how strong they are coMpared to us.

Want to be a gym bro, or do you want to just visit a super earth for a couple years?

Good article. Looking forward to the next part

Vue / Vuetify / Nuxt dev here, and a pinch of php. I used to work with some Postgres in a previous job.

Personally I don’t understand how people can keep switching between different libraries all the time. I’ve been working Vue for the past year and I still know I don’t know everything.

Glad I’ve gotten hang of typescript though.

It is pretty appalling. Much better to go through the hassle to bring my portable, solar rechargeable 1200 watt power generator onto the plane than it is to fork over the extra cash for those silly little lap warmers.
