They had their earnings report yesterday. Same for Intel today.

Forest fires are carbon-neutral, as trees grow back and re-capture the carbon.

Out of curiosity, which was the 4th nation besides the US and China?

> 2. Merchants should be allowed to pick and choose which cards they accept without penalty.

Isn't the case already?

Nvidia’s revenue is more than that per quarter, the demand for AI workloads is through the roof.

Why is this on the front page? It just seems like a meta-analysis on biofuels.

The loop is a deterministic programmatic routine, and not model weights. This is the equivalent of a killer military drone written in C++ and OpenCV. I’m not arguing that AI isn’t dangerous, but nothing in the model weights of LLMs show signs of self-preservation.

Well, an amoeba just like all other living beings, maximizes self-preservation/propagation for which the article mentions as a trait which AI models do not have.

Very closely related: This is already a point of discussion for level 4/5 ADAS systems. For example, Mercedes stating that they’ll take liability for crashes related to its self-driving system.

> Turns out even a proxy can be worth $8bn with the right business model behind it.

People said a similar thing for Cursor simply being a VSCode wrapper for when it crossed unicorn status.

Dumb question: For multiplying for smaller turns such as 1 arc-second (1,296,000 in 1 turn), that would floating point precision issues be a tiny slight issue (22619.4671 arc-seconds in 2pi radians), or is it just a coding convention change?

Interestingly they’re still on the WSE-3 (5nm TSMC) wafer chip and slightly bumped up the specs there (overlocking mostly it seems), for why it’s called WSE-3 Turbo now. I think people were also expecting WSE-4, as it’s been 2 years now since WSE-3 was launched.

For very thin stencils, I doubt plastic 3D printing or even laser-cutting plastic works, as such thin plastics would deform rather than remain flat-ish rigid like steel stencils.

Also for 3D printing solder paste, this technique is called solder jet printing. But it isn’t very popular in the industry (despite being less wasteful) due to it being slower than stencil solder printing.

Impressive performance (also the part about Delta Attention, which seems interesting).

Not trying to start a flamewar thread, but isn’t every Chinese LLM censored on certain major political topics? I understand that fine-tuning at least DeepSeek can remove this, but just saying.

I would rename the title to “The Buffett Indicator shows an overvalued market”. For those curious of its definition (from the article):

> The Buffett Indicator, a ratio that measures the market cap of the entire stock market against the GDP of the United States, has hit a record of ~232%. Historically, anything above ~120% is a signal of the market being overvalued.

That being said, it’s not clear that the Buffet Indicator is fully relevant, as a lot of the US AI and AI hardware companies’ market caps which are driving the stock market valuation growth involve a significant portion of their revenue from outside the US, and thus this wouldn’t necessarily count fully to the US’s GDP (for example, tax entity workarounds for foreign obtained revenue).
