Location: Hyderabad, India Remote: Yes — experienced working with distributed/async teams Willing to relocate: Yes, for the right opportunity

Looking for: Senior / Lead / Staff Backend Engineer, Product Engineer, or backend-heavy Full-Stack roles. Also interested in AI product/platform roles where strong backend + product engineering matters.

Technologies: At this point, I can move across different tech stacks, but here are few I've worked with: Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, React, Node.js, GraphQL/REST, distributed systems, background jobs, Terraform, Docker, Kotlin/Scala, TypeScript, etc

About me:

I'm a backend/product engineer with 10+ years of experience building and owning production systems across Agoda, Groove/Clari, VueOps, e-commerce, startups, and most recently my own AI product.

A few examples of the kind of work I've done:

- At Agoda, worked on high-scale production systems including an internal GraphQL platform handling 1B+ requests/day and an email platform sending 1M+ transactional emails/day. - Re-architected Agoda's B2B partner email workflows, reducing new partner onboarding from weeks to hours and improving launch velocity by 5–10x. - At Groove/Clari, was one of two engineers owning the customer-facing Dialer, building Rails/React/Twilio/Salesforce features used by high-ARR enterprise customers. - At VueOps, led the architecture of a Rails/React document platform and migrated its file-processing engine to AWS Lambda/DynamoDB/SNS, cutting infrastructure cost by 5x and failures by 3x.

I'm strongest in roles where I can take an ambiguous problem, understand the product/business constraints, design the system, and then stay hands-on through implementation and production.

Particularly interested in small/high-ownership teams, product companies, developer infrastructure/platforms, B2B SaaS, or AI-enabled products.

Senior Backend / Product Engineer with 10+ years of experience building and owning production systems from early-stage products to high-scale platforms.

Most recently at Agoda, where I worked on B2B platform systems and redesigned partner configuration/email infrastructure, improving new partner launch velocity by 5–10x. Previously at Groove/Clari, I owned major parts of a real-time communication product, and at VueOps I led development of a document platform and migrated its file-processing engine to serverless infrastructure, reducing infrastructure cost 5x and failures 3x.

I’ve also spent 2026 building an AI-powered language-learning product from scratch and consulting with an early-stage AI startup.

I’m particularly interested in Senior/Staff Backend, Product Engineer, Founding Engineer, or early-stage engineering roles where I can own systems end-to-end rather than work on a narrow slice of the stack.

Happy to talk with founders or engineering teams building technically challenging products.

It doesn't let me sign up. Throws `too many authentication attempts` error. There was only one attempt.

I've been a builder for 10+ years. I love building softwares. Thinking about a problem and owning the product end to end gives me joy. After leaving Agoda, I tried building a bunch of products, but distribution proved to be too much work for a single person, so coming back to what I like to do i.e building softwares.

I asked z.ai, "Which is the best model for coding"

Here's the response:

```
As of late 2024, there isn't one single "best" model for every situation, as performance depends on whether you need raw coding intelligence, speed, or integration into your workflow.
However, the current consensus among developers places Claude 3.5 Sonnet at the top for pure coding ability.
Here is a breakdown of the best models for coding right now, categorized by their strengths: ...
```

So they have data until late 2024 and nothing beyond? They don't even perform a web search. Doesn't seem to be on par with other frontier models.

In the meantime, I'm trying to update Antigravity to use the latest version, but it just wouldn't update itself, nor would it let me use 3.0 model. I restarted multiple times with the same result.

I tried telling this to agent, and it keeps repeating the same phrase "Gemini 3.1 Pro is not available on this version. Please upgrade to the latest version."

Congratulations on beating the benchmarks, but I wonder how much effort is devoted on improving DX?

Edit: It's updated now, I can confirm with "There are currently no updates available.". It still doesn't let me continue with the conversation. I'm able to create new session though.

I've not seen the bot from eleven labs. Where can I see it in action?

Haha! For me it was quite obvious once it admitted because we kept talking and their behaviour stayed the same. It could see that AI's character was pretty flat, good enough for v1.

Correct. They sounded like human. The pacing was natural, it was real time, no lag. It felt human for the most part. There was even a background noise, which made it feel authentic.

EDIT: I'm almost tempted to go back and respond to that email now. Just out of curiosity, to see how soon I'll see a human.

Not at all. It was hard to believe.

I'm not sure how related this is, but I feel like it is.

I received a couple of emails for Ruby on Rails position, so I ignored the emails.

Yesterday out of nowhere I received a call from an HR, we discussed a few standard things but they didn't had the specific information about company or the budget. They told me to respond back to email.

Something didn't feel right, so I asked after gathering courage "Are you an AI agent?", and the answer was yes.

Now I wasn't looking for a job, but I would imagine, most people would not notice it. It was so realistic. Surely, there needs to be some guardrails.

Edit: Typo

I've been working on a Thai language learning application(https://thaicopilot.com/) for months now, so I would love to get some feedback from the community. I plan to expand to other languages, but the thought process for now is to get it right for one language and scale up the repeatable efforts for all the others.

If you want to see a video of the app without sign up https://thaicopilot.com/how-it-works

Haha! Glad it was helpful. Yes, I keep an eye on that page, so I was quick to notice.
