Because I have no natural gifts, shall I on that account give up my discipline? Far be it from me! Epictetus will not be better than Socrates, but if only I am not worse, that suffices me. For I shall not be a Milo, either, and yet I do not neglect my body, nor a Croesus, and yet I do not neglect my property, nor, in a word, is there any other field in which we give up the appropriate discipline merely from despair of attaining the highest.

>When they introduced the Apple Pencil and people were like “haha it’s a stylus”, the thing was decidedly NOT a stylus

Ironic: when they introduced the Apple Watch, the narrative around it was "whatever it will be, it WON'T be just another smartwatch" and yet it was.

Was it? I haven't read the short stories in some times, but I remember the case in which they don't work always being treated like an extremely rare, newsworthy exception.

> 128GB is strange.

It's really not. It's so reviewers will be able to say "it costs more than the last version, but you also get much more storage" and the average consumer is happy. If there were a practical reason for it Apple would put it front and center.

What would be the incentive for Rockstar to not have the earliest possible official PC release?

Since this thread will contain the intersection of people interested in coding games and people interested in AI, can I ask whether the latest AI coding tools can help someone vibe code a simple low-poly 3D game? I only ever used Twine before.

This is by far the most amazing fact I have heard recently.
