The feed is still there, but imo it’s not the default thing many people wanna see when visiting the dashboard. I understand that people want the feed, but this weird social network thing isn’t really the true purpose of Github in 2026, and I would bet Github has the data on that and decided that what people really want to see when they first open .com is the status of their own work.

I think credit should be given where credit is due when Github’s just made a good change.

Complaining might work, but continuous complaining is tiresome.

A lot of people seem to be complaining, but the last iteration had Copilot at the top and then a "Feed" of what other people were doing.

This seems to push your issues and pull requests as the main items of the page, and that's significantly better.

I’ve been a long-time subscriber to kagi, but also a long-time critic that they bite off more than they can chew. Relatively happy to see this, and I’m sure there’ll be an open-source community willing to carry on the Linux work.

In response to the legal claims other commenters are making, Richard Marles, our defence minister and deputy prime minister has stated they’ll be looking into legal action, but they are unsure about how “intent” will span out in a case like this.

As a lifetime access purchaser of Tailwind UI and a user of their recent oatmeal template, the news that they’re winding down tailwindui hurts a little.

Glad they got their exit, Adam deserves it, but I don’t know why they can’t see the value in preset UI templates. AI sucks at building UI, it sucks a little less when it’s got codebase references to build upon and reference.

From the early comments, no wonder the lead maintainer resigned.

Great job Asahi! Reverse engineering someone elses proprietary hardware and drivers is amazing work!

Spaces really is gonna bring all the features that HN is critical about AT platforms like Tangled.

Private repos are now on the horizon. Huzzah!

Huh, according to some of those charts, it's both dumber, and more expensive to run against their benchmarking tasks than Fable??? Seems crazy to me.

Feels like the tech industry balks at any whimsical introduction of feature names. Reminds me of Tangled’s spindles and knots and HN’s reaction.

They’re just names to be used within the context of their parent ecosystem. If it were a general purpose tool, I’d tend to agree.

The great thing about Bsky is that feeds can be user-run (and the for you feed is a great success story). So if Bluesky Inc. wants to derank links on their discover feed, there are a lot of user driven feed options to counteract that

Minor versions are basically major versions for Go. They’ll “never” create a Go v2 because they prioritise maintaining backwards compatibility as a language feature, thus following semver rules, no majors.

Ahhh gotcha, thanks for the info

what happens when it’s a custom handle like @example.com?

LinkedIn’s job screen in the app is a good example of this different presentation.

I’ve noticed a certain AI recruitment company gets “highlighted” (darkened white background of the screen, but their logo is pure white and REALLY stands out), but when I screenshot it, it reverts to normal, like there’s no blatant special advertising.
