The TCO isn’t the same mostly because now you need to pay for AppleCare separately where before it was included.

The view from the ikea was perfect. It must have been really bad condition because there were never any “public” field trips to visit the ship.

I’ve seen it at least once a week if not more for 10 or 15 years. It’s really startling that it’s missing from the waterfront. Super big bummer no one could make it work.

The iPhone update program /was/ a great deal for a number of reasons. The current klarna incarnation pushes the value lever in the wrong direction, this being the first year I haven’t upgraded in probably a decade. I /could/ pay cash, but it was just as easy to use someone else’s money so why not?

When I rent a shore house for a week on the east coast (direct from owner rental, not Airbnb), it’s been customary for at least 30 years to clean the house and wash the dishes you use for the next people. We would usually wash them anyway when we arrived because I’m crazy.

When we had little kids we used disposable plates because we didn’t want to break the plates in the house. I don’t do Airbnb but disposable plates might be one way if you needed to stay in a short term rental.

On my iOS devices, hitting a season and then the episode always took me to the episode detail. I'm not sure if this is a setting to configure, I never changed any plex settings other than setting direct play.

I don't have the "back" issue, there's an "X" on the iOS app to tap to exit the video, and the "menu" key on my Apple TV works as always.

So much for unifying the code bases! :D

I’ve had a synology NAS that’s been running for 8 years. No data loss. I use random drives I had laying around. It’s not the fastest or fanciest, but I never had any experience with lock in. It’s got a 3rd party 10g card, more memory … nothing locked in.

I can’t run any web apps from my employer unless I’m on one of their computers. Tokens are only generated on corporate systems. IP access only allowed from corporate VPN.

That’s an overreaction.
