You say that like it's a bad thing. If I am trusting Google with all sorts of personal information, I expect robust access controls to data and systems

Nothing aspires to be Apple. They're all about design. I can't see them getting invested in a nerdy philosophical cause like this

It's called pooled hiring, and it makes sense when a company is hiring lots of people for lots of teams. Most large companies do this when hiring rates are high. You end up with better employee-team match when you interview a candidate first and then match them based on their skills/interest, rather than contacting them for a specific role they may or may not be interested in.

Has nothing to do with whether hiring is for headcount or other reasons

My library has one, but it's only open for 1 hour a week, which is a shame because most 3d prints take longer than that

> Tiktok is actively suppressing the stories.

Is there any evidence of this? FWIW, I saw plenty of tiktoks talking about the China hack

If they kept coming back, that means you never really exterminated the population, just got their numbers low. You need to make the population go extinct

> It's not like apple only allows iphone to iphone texting.

Because of the limitations of SMS (not supporting high res pictures, no groupchats over 10 people, etc) it effectively is only for iphones. People with Android phones in the US in iPhone-circles simply cannot be socially integrated and have full social lives

The /r/beeper subreddit is full of people coming in to complain about beeper. Even if people don't think what beeper is trying to do is worthwhile, I don't understand what makes people emotionally invested to the point where they are would devote a ton of energy to complaining about perceived threats. It's like they see any threats to Apple as a personal attack on them

They are a for-profit company, but they want to make their profit by filling a demand people are willing to pay for
