came here to say the same thing; a family member was made unwell by taking vitamin D supplements for something else minor. Nothing bad and stopped immediately.

I've been an enthusiast for whiteboarding, diagramming and handwriting, and had several Work HP Tablets and 360s, for several years I found good use taking notes in OneNote (specifically) for in-person meetings, for any other use like video conferences (which every meeting is now), giving presentations on screen-share, using office tools, etc, they just aren't convenient and are more prone to activating the wrong element with inadvertent touch. I write notes on paper and scan them for archive. This Mac Book doesn't fold flat which really should make it a non-starter unless Apple has a use-case I can't think of.

many billionaires don't pay income (wages) tax because they come from family money inheritance and income is from investments or maybe shares of companies they head, rather than wages, on which to pay income tax. And income tax from shares and capital gains is less than wages tax. I agree they shouldn't be taxed twice, but the way we are taxed is not straight-forward.

Well, some long-haul coaches have two drivers to allow them to switch-out for safety but keep the passengers and bus moving. Of all the things to get excited about, I don't understand why reducing the labor costs for corporates is one. Improving transportation instead would benefit us all, for example with better road design and mixed/integrated transport systems.

What does robotaxi offer apart from less taxi-driver jobs? They can't inherently shorten journeys or avoid surface disruption, we already have taxi services in most cities. This just removes a human job and that's the progress.

If the talent wanted to work at Cloudflair, they'd apply there. Being acquired is a loss of agency and the project you care about is shut down. Several public research papers say retention is hard.

The "everyone has access to the ER" has to be paid somehow, which is through tax dollars. The USA has a for-profit health system but typical neo-liberalism has a safety net where corporates get to dip into a different bottom-less pot. So it makes sense that we make this visible by taxing everybody who isn't paying their own insurance, since they still expect access to ER.

Not a Lawyer, but Hister is a common, old word. Unless you're in the same business as the trademark holder, I would think you have grounds to continue? I note you have the domain name registered, and any deep-pocketed hostile trademark owner would already have reclaimed that. Unfortunately, legal advice is expensive, and the system is open to abuse.

I recently learned Steganography, as correctly named in the article, is not the same as Stenography.

Regulation of private companies and enforcement of same aren't really the way things work in America. And even the most highly regulated companies struggle with reality practicalities of tamper evident audit trails, for example designating a subset of systems in-scope of SOX or PCI controls where such trails are required.

the example is good and those ads are less awful because the same ad it sent to a demographic, rather than an individual, eg everyone in Michigan get the same ad or everyone watching Friends at 8pm in Cincinnati gets the same ad. Facebook's specialty is targeting a user with an ad. And a side effect or bonus is that few others see it to talk about how inaccurate it might be.

We might expect the politicians to legislate against this, please at the same time, if you can, spend your money with better companies.

You put it well and presbyterian is right in that point, but eBooks don't have the financial risk of retail merchandise planning and merchandising, and that cost saving isn't differentiated.
