I am a veterinarian.

I currently send most "hear me out" tech cold calls to spam.

I may be responding to you but I might not be contradicting you.

True that. I think that many people who use GLPs to find a healthy weight will be on them, possibly intermittently, long term. It may be possible to retrain their eating habits, but I would not bet on it for most people.

Cymbalta and Effexor both. However, having to taper off is better than having major depression. 10/10 would use again.

I would push back and say that a lot of people didn't actually know that. They came up with elaborate reasons why eating less doesn't work, but keto works, or paleo works, or eliminating sugar works, or vegan works, or it's just physically impossible to lose weight.

Simon, it seems you spend too much time close to the AIs and your writing is getting flagged.

The graph shows that suicides overall are down from 30 years ago, while the same cohort that was higher in 1985-2005 (25-44) is now higher in 2005-2025 (45-64). Perhaps there is something about the generation more than the situation or the age of the individual.

I think liquidation would be unlikely. Restructuring would be more likely. Like as happens with airlines from time to time.

“Lightbulb, where is Commander Riker?”

“Commander Riker is in his quarters.”

What are they going to say? "Trackers, like these 300 we have on our site, are monitoring all this stuff and our NDA doesn't let us tell you what they are doing."

That is more because the gas tax is intended to pay for the roads. Red-dye diesel is declaring your intention to use the vehicle exclusively off-road, and thus not needing to be subject to the gas tax.

I'd be interested to know what case recognizes such a general principle. I would recommend not publicizing that you are transiting with cannabis from Oregon to Montana through Idaho, for example.

I'm wondering the same thing. Something about making proportional fonts fit into blocks for Chinese text?

Now you could maybe cram the guts of a DGX Spark in there and have an incredible sleeper machine.

It's pretty interesting how many comments ask questions that were asked by the article. Not surprising, as I also didn't read the article before reading the comments. But it is a well-written news article.

On Windows I also use QuickAccent, now part of PowerToys. I could never remember the Alt-code for the em dash. Apparently it's Alt-0151. With QuickAccent I hold a letter and right or left arrow and up comes a menu of related symbols. It's pretty neat.

On Mac, it's option-shift-hyphen. Option-hyphen gives the en dash.

On Linux, you may be able to type Ctrl-Shift-U to get unicode entry and type 2014 and Enter. 2013 is the en dash. Again, I will never remember that.
